Intermediate A

For players at a fairly competitive level. Requires better than average degree of skill and good understanding of the rules and strategy of the game. A higher level than Int B. You should have a good forehand throw, know zone defense, and catch just about anything that comes near you.

Rankings are determined by (in this order):
1. win/loss record
2. point differential
3. head to head matchup (only for final standings)

11th edition rules are being used.

Safety First

1. If you see any minor field hazards, cover them with a marker disc.
2. If you see any serious field hazards, stop play and notify the league coordinator.
3. Any player who has blood visible anywhere on his/her body or uniform must leave the field immediately - using injury sub rules - until appropriate bandaging or uniform change is completed.
4. No player under the age of eighteen (18) years may take the field.

1. In the event of impending darkness before either team reaches 15, team captains should discuss the cap ahead of time. When captains agree to apply the cap, complete the current point and add two to the higher score. Play to this cap score, no win by two.
2. Games are 7 on 7 unless a team has only 6 or 7 players, in which case the game will be 6 on 6. Teams must have at least 6 players to begin the game. Any team with fewer than 6 players 15 minutes after start time automatically forfeits.
3. There is a mandatory requirement for co-ed play in Intermediate league. Captains are responsible to ensure this.
   • When 2 or more women show up for both teams, each team must field at least 2 women.
   • When only 1 woman shows up for a team, each team must field at least 1 women.
   • When no women show up for a team, that team fields 6. The other team fields 6 or 7 with at least 1 women.
   The above applies even if a team only has 6 or 7 players. Teams may field more women than required, but their opponent is not required to match them.
4. Two time-outs per half.
5. WEATHER: Games WILL be played if rain is falling without lightening. At the first sign of lightening, any player may call a lightening delay. All players should leave the open field immediately and seek shelter, however games are not immediately canceled. Remain off the Field Until no lightening is seen or heard for 10 minutes. If a game can not be completed due to lightening delay, or other serious weather, which extends until darkness, then:
   • If the game did not reach halftime, the game will not be counted at all in either teams record. (League standings are based on win percentage)
   • If the game reached halftime, the score at the time when play was suspended will become the final score.
